A website makeover for The Arlington Ballroom.
The Arlington Ballroom took on a full redesign and rebuild, aiming to lift their online presence with a more contemporary approach. We crafted a site that mirrors the standard of their service and shows off their expertise in cultural weddings.
High-quality imagery and a carefully chosen type system carry the elegance of the room itself, positioning the venue as the obvious choice for couples planning their day.

One site doing two jobs: a venue to hire and a restaurant to book.
A couple viewing a wedding venue and a family booking a Sunday table want completely different things from the same website. The build had to serve both without either feeling like an afterthought.
The design takes its cues from the building itself, echoing the art deco detail in the architecture so the site feels like an extension of walking through the doors.
Starters, mains and desserts are managed as structured content with their own tabs, so the kitchen can change a dish without anyone touching a PDF or waiting on us.
Weddings, events and the restaurant each have their own galleries, because a venue this distinctive sells on being seen rather than described.
Room capacities, minimum numbers and hire information are published openly, which filters enquiries down to the ones that genuinely fit before anyone picks up the phone.
Guest reviews sit throughout the site with an option to submit a new one, so the social proof keeps building without the team having to gather it.
We host and look after the site, so seasonal menus, events and offers stay current all year round.

What we achieved.
The result is a website designed with a nod back to the art deco theme running through the architecture of the building. The Arlington Ballroom has re-established itself as a real presence in Southend-on-Sea, and has since relaunched its bookings.
The restaurant side has a home of its own within the same site, so the venue can fill a Wednesday evening and a Saturday wedding from the same place.
